What resolution are the JPGs?
Pages are rendered at 2x scale before being encoded, so a standard Letter/A4 page produces roughly 1600-1700px wide images — sharp enough for reading or printing at normal sizes.
What does the Image Quality slider actually control?
It sets the JPEG compression quality (40-100%) used when each page canvas is exported. Lower values produce smaller files with more compression artifacts around text and lines; higher values keep detail sharper but produce larger files.
Why did "Download All Pages" only save some of my pages, or trigger a browser prompt?
Downloading many files at once triggers your browser's multi-file download permission — the tool downloads pages with a short delay between each to avoid overwhelming the browser, but if your browser blocks multiple downloads you may need to allow them, or just download pages individually.
Can I convert a password-protected PDF?
No — if the PDF can't be read directly, conversion will fail with an error asking you to try a different file. Remove the password with your PDF viewer first.
Will this preserve transparency or vector sharpness?
No. Each page is flattened onto a white background canvas and exported as a JPEG, which doesn't support transparency; for lossless output that better preserves fine text edges, use the PDF to PNG tool instead.
