Frequently Asked Questions
Which days count as weekends?
This tool treats Saturday and Sunday as non-business days, which is the standard Monday-to-Friday work week used in most countries. It doesn't account for countries with a different weekend (like Friday–Saturday).
How do I exclude holidays from the calculation?
Add each holiday date on its own line in the holidays box, in YYYY-MM-DD format. Any date listed there is skipped in both the counting and the add-days calculation, just like a weekend.
Is the start date itself counted?
Yes — when counting business days between two dates, both the start and end dates are included in the count if they themselves fall on a business day.
Are the dates I enter sent anywhere?
No — all the date math happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript, so nothing you enter is ever sent to a server.
