Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Title Case and Sentence case here?

Title Case capitalizes the first letter of every word in your text. Sentence case only capitalizes the very first letter, plus the first letter after any period, question mark, or exclamation point, mimicking normal sentence punctuation.

How does camelCase handle spaces and punctuation?

The converter lowercases everything first, then removes any run of spaces or punctuation and capitalizes the letter that follows it. So "Hello, World!" becomes "helloWorld" — the comma, space, and exclamation point are all stripped out.

How does snake_case work?

It lowercases the text, replaces every run of non-alphanumeric characters (spaces, punctuation) with a single underscore, and trims any leading or trailing underscores from the result.

Does aLtErNaTiNg case get thrown off by spaces or numbers?

No. The upper/lower toggle only advances on actual letters — spaces, digits, and punctuation are passed through unchanged without flipping the case of the next letter, so the alternation stays consistent across words.

Does clicking a case button change my original input?

No. Your original text stays untouched in the "Your Text" box; only the read-only "Result" box updates. You can click through several case buttons in a row to compare outputs without retyping anything.

What's the difference between PascalCase and camelCase?

They use the same word-boundary logic, but PascalCase capitalizes the very first letter too, while camelCase leaves it lowercase. So "hello world" becomes "HelloWorld" in PascalCase but "helloWorld" in camelCase.

What's the difference between kebab-case, dot.case, and CONSTANT_CASE?

All three follow the same rule as snake_case — lowercase everything, collapse spaces and punctuation into a single separator, then trim separators from the ends — but kebab-case uses a hyphen, dot.case uses a period, and CONSTANT_CASE reuses the underscore separator from snake_case and uppercases the whole result.

How is Train-Case different from kebab-case?

Train-Case splits the text into words the same way kebab-case does, but it capitalizes the first letter of every word before joining them with hyphens, so "hello world" becomes "Hello-World" instead of kebab-case's "hello-world".

What does InVeRsE CaSe do differently from aLtErNaTiNg case?

Inverse case flips the case each letter already has — an uppercase letter becomes lowercase and vice versa — so it depends entirely on your original text's casing. Alternating case ignores the original casing and imposes a fresh upper/lower/upper/lower pattern that only advances on letters.

Does the "Compare All Cases" list update live, and can I copy each row separately?

Yes. As soon as you type or paste into "Your Text", the list below updates instantly to show every case variant at once — no button click needed — and each row has its own Copy button so you can grab exactly the variant you want.
