Screen Recorder
Record your screen, a window, or a browser tab — nothing ever leaves your browser.
How to Record Your Screen
- Click "Start Recording" — your browser's native picker opens.
- Choose your entire screen, a window, or a browser tab, and confirm.
- Click "Stop Recording" when you're done (or use the browser's own "Stop sharing" control).
- Play back the result, then click "Download Recording" to save it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this upload my recording anywhere?
No. The recording is captured and saved entirely using your browser's own screen-capture and recording APIs — nothing is ever sent to a server. It only leaves your device if and when you choose to download or share the file yourself.
Why doesn't it record system or tab audio?
This depends on your browser and what you choose to share. Chrome and Edge can capture a shared browser tab's audio if you tick the "share audio" option in the picker, but capturing full system audio while sharing your entire screen isn't supported by every browser — this is a browser-level limitation, not something this tool controls.
Can I record just one window or browser tab instead of my whole screen?
Yes — when you click "Start Recording," your browser's own native picker lets you choose between your entire screen, a specific application window, or a specific browser tab before recording begins.
What video format does the recording save as?
It depends on your browser. Chrome and Firefox typically record in WebM with VP9 or VP8 video; other browsers may use a different supported format. The tool automatically uses whichever format your browser supports and downloads the file with the matching extension.
